Rhoda WolfeMrs. Rhoda Wolfe is currently the third member of the Sebring High School Music Department where she directs the Freshmen Women’s Choir and teaches Music of the World as well as several Piano classes. Mrs. Wolfe was born in Ethiopia (Africa) to missionary parents, moved to the U.S. as an eighth grader and holds a B.A. in Music Education from Bridgewater College, VA. While teaching middle school for 27 years, her choirs attended district Music Performance Assessments where they earned Superior ratings. In her additional eight years of teaching high school, Mrs. Wolfe’s choirs participated at district and state level assessments also receiving Superior ratings. She has been selected as the Teacher of the Year for Highlands County and has held the office of State Middle School Chairperson for the Florida Vocal Association. As a member of the Florida Vocal Association, Florida Music Educator’s Association and Music Educator’s National Conference, it has been her privilege to adjudicate many district choral assessments as well as have many of her students qualify for the Florida All-State Choirs. Mrs. Wolfe and her husband live in Sebring, FL where they raised three daughters. They are actively involved with church music and enjoy spending much time with their nine grandchildren.
